With the founding of the Lichtgitter Group-owned company WiRoPa, which among other things, is active in the area of the laser, plasma and shear cutting, the qualification was created to be able to offer you an all around, carefree package also for your individual chequer plate projects
Chequer plates combine a closed surface with an anti-slip effect. In the different versions, different rating groups are reached. We have some of the verifications and the BG Institute for occupational safety (BIA) has some.
Chequer plates are also easy to negotiate, e.g. by a hand pallet truck.
Also with regard to the surface treatment, specifically in terms of galvanizing, our own galvanizing plants benefit you with their quality, speed and expertise. Chequer plates are available in the following surfaces as standard:
We will, of course, be happy to offer more surfaces.
WiRoPa was founded in 2009 as a company in the Lichtgitter Group which has more than 1,000 employees and over 80 years experience in metal processing.
WiRoPa has experienced, highly motivated staff, produces on the most modern systems in the field of laser, plasma and shear cutting and performs various bending work. This allows WiRoPa to also cut chequer plates precisely and accurately tailored according to your requirements and specifications.
WiRoPa has the following machines:
1 bending press
Working length: up to 20.4 m

Requirements on extreme dimensions, maximum supports, the highest quality requirements, or minimum time windows are not a exclusion criterion for us, but spur us on to start where others already reach their limits technologically or in terms of personnel.
Gratings with welded on chequer plate ideally combine the advantages of both products, gratings and chequer plates. In addition to our chequer plate blanks including countersunk holes, other processing and complete technical documentation, wide spans can now also be bridged through this combination and this with only four sufficient fastening points.
The perfect combination
combining the advantages of two products!
Chequer plates are also used as treads due to the closed surface and slip-resistant properties. The chequer plate treads can be produced in various thicknesses and dimensions.
The following standard thicknesses are available for processing from stock:
European chequer according to DIN 59220, material S235JR in thickness:
in standard as well as in special formats
Other thicknesses and material qualities are of course possible upon request.
